Hillcrest Camera Club Meeting Minutes Volunteer Secretary, Robin Phelps, Treasurer Date: 05-05-2008

Meeting called to order by President, Walt Stettler Time: 7:42 PM

June 23rd is the Planning Meeting. Please try to come.

June 20th is the Annual Dinner. Please see Robin for forms on attendance and dinner selections. Our Best of the Year competition is in all of our regular categories of Color Prints and Monochrome Prints, Nature Slides and Pictoral Slides.

Discussion on dropping Annual Dinner competition entries from 4 to 3. Motion accepted.

Thank you Lew Shor for your many years of sacrifice and good judgement as Print Chairman. We hope you will help us out as we set up a committee of many to do what you have done alone for so many years.

St. John’s Church Exhibit: June 1st is the Artist Talk. Please come out and speak, the congregation is looking forward to it.

Nomination of Officers: After consulting the Historian, Henry Hummel, we concluded that Officers are elected for a two-year term.

Larry Stamm decided to step down as Vice President. So Mike Brint decided to step up to the plate as Vice President. Thank you Mike. Members voted in favor.

Thank you Larry Stamm for your service this past year. You have been a valued asset and have done a wonderful job of setting up our exhibits this year. Thank you Joanne as well for all your help.

Due to Mike taking the VP job. We were in need of a new Refreshment Chairperson. Thank you to Cynthia Underhill for volunteering.

Committee Reports:

Pete Kromayer: The Best of the Best video is available if anyone wants to borrow.

Do we want to host a competition next year for NJFCC and PSA?. NJFCC pays $75.00 for judges. PSA does not. Members voted in favor of only hosting the NJFCC competition next year.
